North Tryon Street closed in NoDa after crash

It's unknown what time the wreck will clear and the road will reopen.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Both directions of North Tryon Street between 28th and 30th streets in Charlotte's NoDa neighborhood are blocked Monday afternoon after a crash happened around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

The crash itself happened at 31st Street, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. The cause of the wreck is unknown at this time, but it caused power lines to fall across the road, blocking all lanes.

CMPD is advising drivers taken an alternate route to avoid the area. Drivers can either take The Plaza or North Graham Street to head north or sound around the crash site.

It's unknown what time the wreck will clear and the road will reopen.
