CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A truck driver was seriously injured Thursday when the cement truck they were driving overturned on Brookshire Boulevard.
The crash happened north of Interstate 485. One lane of Brookshire Boulevard was blocked in that direction as authorities responded to the crash. The closure caused delays for morning drivers.
Mecklenburg EMS said a team worked to free the driver from the vehicle. Once removed from the vehicle, the driver was treated for serious injuries and taken to a nearby hospital.
