Park Road closed after crash

The busy Charlotte corridor is closed south of Park Road Park in south Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Park Road is closed in south Charlotte because of a serious crash that injured three people.

The road is closed at Frederick Place, which shares an intersection with Park Road and Park South Drive. The road closure is just over a half mile from Park Road Park.

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department and Medic responded to the crash. After the crash, Medic transported three patients to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

After the crash, at least one vehicle came to a stop in the lanes for oncoming traffic

Drivers can use Sharon Road or South Boulevard to avoid the crash.
