Person killed while trying to cross I-77 in Rock Hill, police say

State troopers said the pedestrian was trying to cross I-77 near Dave Lyle Boulevard in Rock Hill when they were hit by two vehicles.

ROCK HILL, S.C. — A pedestrian died after being hit by two vehicles on I-77 in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Tuesday night, police said. 

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened on the northbound side of I-77 near Dave Lyle Boulevard. Troopers said the pedestrian, who hasn't been identified, was crossing the interstate from east to west when they were hit by an 18-wheeler and then a Nissan Altima.

The crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
