Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by vehicle in southwest Charlotte

A pedestrian was seriously injured when they were hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Nations Ford Road and East Arrowood Road Monday, Medic said.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in southwest Charlotte Monday morning, officials said. 

The crash happened around 7 a.m. on Nations Ford Road at Arrowood Road, just east of Interstate 77. Medic confirmed the victim was rushed to Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

WCNC Charlotte has reached out to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police for more information about the crash and if the driver will face any charges. CMPD hasn't said what led up to the wreck. 

Any person with information about this incident or any others is asked to call Charlotte Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600. All witness calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous.
