Driver killed after running off road, hitting tree in York County, SCHP says

The crash happened Tuesday afternoon.

CLOVER, S.C. — One person is dead after a crash near Clover on Tuesday afternoon, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The crash happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. A 2023 Toyota pickup truck was headed east on Kingsbury Road near W.H. Stowe Road near Clover. The driver of the truck drove off the road and crashed into a tree.

The driver's identity is unknown at this time and the crash remains under investigation.
