CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A busy stretch of Pineville-Matthews Road in south Charlotte reopened Monday evening after hours of being closed due to a crash investigation.
The road was closed from Bannington Road to Baybrook Lane. That's about a mile stretch of Pineville-Matthews Road, also known as NC State Road 51, and is located west of Carmel Road.
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department said an early morning crash caused downed power lines. Medic said one person went to the hospital as a result of the crash.
