Deadly crash involving pedestrian under investigation in Uptown Charlotte

It happened at the intersection of Graham Street and 9th Street in Uptown's Fourth Ward neighborhood.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An Uptown Charlotte intersection was closed early Wednesday morning after a deadly crash involving a pedestrian, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

It happened at the intersection of Graham Street and 9th Street in Uptown's Fourth Ward neighborhood, not far from Interstate 277.

The intersection was closed for the investigation, but has since reopened. CMPD confirmed the crash was under investigation around 3:30 a.m., though it's not clear when the crash itself happened.

Further details about the deadly crash are limited at this time.
