WATAUGA COUNTY, N.C. — NC Hwy. 105 has reopened after a rockslide forced officials to close it on Tuesday.
NC Hwy. 105 near Broadstone Road was closed in Watauga County on Tuesday afternoon due to a rockslide. The road was closed from mile marker 6.2 to mile marker 6.8 in both directions.
Watauga County Emergency Services and the North Carolina Department of Transportation worked to clean up the debris and road obstruction that resulted from a material slide.
Motorists in the area experienced heavy delays.

The road reopened shortly before 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
