CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Wilkinson Boulevard is closed in both directions near Tuckaseegee Road after a crash, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
One person was hurt in the crash and was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, Medic said.
The closure mostly impacts the stretch between Tuckaseegee Road and Sam Wilson Road near the exits for Interstate 485, and is expected to last until 10:50 a.m.
Charlotte Douglas International Airport said travelers should prepare for delays when coming to the airport due to the crash.
