CHARLOTTE, N.C. — American Airlines says one of its flights bound for Charlotte had to be diverted to Canada Saturday after experiencing a possible mechanical issue.
The airline confirmed to WCNC Charlotte that flight 717 from Munich, Germany was diverted to Montreal, Canada for the issue. Customers were granted new accommodations to complete their journeys from Montreal.
American apologized for the inconvenience customers may have faced. The airline did not specify what the issue may have been.
