CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Tonight:
Cloudy and warm with a few areas of drizzle, with lows only dropping into the mid-50s.
Election Day
It is not going to be a washout but there will be rain on and off through the day. Rain looks most likely during the morning. Even if it isn't raining it may feel like its going to rain. Cause your Election Day will actually feel humid.
Rest of the Week
- Wednesday night has the highest chance for rain into Thursday morning
- Wednesday and Thursday will feel humid to muggy
- Highs in the mid-70s Wednesday and Thursday
- A passing cold front will cool us back to the low 70s and upper 60s Friday and this coming weekend.
Tropics Update
Tropical storm Rafael has formed and will move towards the gulf by the end of the week. There's a chance it never leaves the gulf but could also come north. It could also come north as a weak low with heavy rain. So stay up to date this week at the latest.
This storm to reiterate could bring more moisture to the Carolinas or the remnants could brush by a week from now, but Rafael will not directly impact us. This will become a hurricane and our 17th named storm of the season.
