CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
This Evening & Overnight
It'll be a dry and quiet evening across the Charlotte metro with lows hovering near 40 degrees. Mostly clear conditions for the piedmont with more clouds lingering in the mountains.
This Weekend
Saturday will be a wall to wall sunshine type of afternoon and high temperatures in the mid 60s. Overnight, with clear skies, lows should be in the upper 30s to around 40 degrees.
Sunday's highs will range from the mid to upper 60s with some southeast of Charlotte touching 70 degrees. The average high for mid-November is 63 degrees so we're still above normal. Skies will be partly cloudy Sunday night with temperatures falling into the mid 40s.
Next Week
Monday through Wednesday will be unseasonably warm in the low 70s to upper 60s! Clouds increase Tuesday as a strong cold front approaches bringing rain late Tuesday through Wednesday.
Once the front passes, there is a chance for accumulating snow in the mountains Wednesday night. Thursday and Friday will turn much colder with highs plummeting to the mid 50s. We may finally get our first chance for frost this season in Charlotte by next weekend.
