Concert for Carolina adds artists, livestream option

Organizers said they can use geotargeting to ensure people in areas impacted by Helene are not charged to watch the livestream of the concert.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — New artists are being added to the already sold out Concert for Carolina at Bank of America Stadium, coming up on Oct. 26. The concert benefits those impacted by Hurricane Helene, and is presented by Explore Asheville and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority.

The organizers announced Tuesday that North Carolina natives The Avett Brothers, Scotty McCreery, Chase Rice and Parmalee all joined the lineup, which already included big names like Luke Combs, Eric Church and James Taylor.

Due to the overwhelming demand for the concert, it will also now be livestreamed through Veeps. Organizers said they can use geotargeting to ensure people in areas impacted by Helene are not charged to watch the livestream of the concert.

Anyone in areas not directly impacted by Helene will be charged $24.99 with an optional additional donation, according to event organizers.

Proceeds are going relief organizations selected by Combs and Church: Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, Eblen Charities, and organizations supported by Chief Cares.
