FEMA opens disaster recovery center in York County

The center is a one-stop shop where people can meet with FEMA representatives and apply for federal assistance.

ROCK HILL, S.C. — A new disaster recovery center is opening in Rock Hill to help people impacted by Hurricane Helene

The center is a one-stop shop where people can meet with FEMA representatives and apply for federal assistance. Residents can also receive referrals for other support in their communities. 

The center is at the York County Library, located at 138 E. Black Street in Rock Hill. 

Rock Hill disaster recovery center hours

  • Nov. 13-14: 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Nov. 15-16: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
  • Nov. 17: Closed
  • Nov. 18-21: 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Nov. 22: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. 

There are additional disaster recovery centers open across South Carolina. Click here for a full list of locations. Residents can also text "DRC" and a zip code to 43362 to receive the address of the nearest location. 

Residents in Abbeville, Aiken, Allendale, Anderson, Bamberg, Barnwell, Beaufort, Cherokee, Chester, Edgefield, Fairfield, Greenville, Greenwood, Hampton, Jasper, Kershaw, Laurens, Lexington, McCormick, Newberry, Oconee, Orangeburg, Pickens, Richland, Saluda, Spartanburg, Union and York counties and the Catawba Indian Nation are eligible for federal assistance for Helene recovery.
