NORTH CAROLINA, USA — The cast of Scandal is reuniting for one night only to show support for western North Carolina after Hurricane Helene.
The online event is happening on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 6 p.m. It will benefit the United Way of North Carolina.
There will be a script reading by former cast members and Shonda Rhimes will be opening the reading.
The event will feature Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, Guillermo Diaz, Scott Foley, Katie Lowes, Joshua Malina, Joe Morton, George Newbern, Jeff Perry, Cornelius Smith, Jr., Darby Stanchfield and Bellamy Young.
Young’s hometown is Asheville. The city was one of many communities in western North Carolina impacted by Helene.
The storm left extensive damage across the western region of the state when it hit at the end of September. Over the past several weeks, our news team has heard stories of people traveling to cities and towns throughout the region to offer assistance.
