CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Meet the WCNC Charlotte Weather Team on Earth Day!
Brad Panovich, Larry Sprinkle, Chris Mulcahy, KJ Jacobs, and Brittany Van Voorhees will be at the Schiele Museum in Gastonia from 10 a.m. until Noon on Saturday, April 22.
Join the WCNC Charlotte Weather Team as we celebrate Earth Day at the museum's Flower Power event.
You can tour the Chevy Storm Tracker vehicle and try your hand in front of a green screen like the ones used to deliver weather forecasts on television.
Also at the museum that day, you can explore the Schiele Museum farm, get gardening and composting tips, and learn more about recycling and sustainable energy sources. Bring plants to swap with other local gardeners or purchase tomato and pepper plants from The Schiele. The Nature Trail, playground, and life-size mazes will also be open for fun and exploration.
The Schiele Museum is located at 1500 East Garrison Boulevard in Gastonia. The museum charges ticketing for admission to the museum's general exhibits plus additional special event ticketing for their Flower Power offerings.
The WCNC Charlotte Weather Team will be at the museum when the doors open at 10 a.m. While the weather team will be at the museum until Noon, the Flower Power event continues separately until 4 p.m.
(The Schiele Museum offers free admission to all on the first Tuesday of the month from 4 p.m. through 8 p.m.)
