CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — Crews in Cabarrus County responded to multiple water rescues after severe weather moved through the region Tuesday.

Around 10 p.m. Tuesday, the Concord Fire Department confirmed it was dispatched to assist the Harrisburg Fire Department with a water rescue on Pharr Mill Road.
Rescue crews were able to deploy a raft, and one person was safely removed from a vehicle that had partially submerged. That person was then taken to receive medical care.
The Concord Fire Department and Midland Fire and Rescue were later dispatched to assist the Allen Volunteer Fire Department with a water rescue, on Highway 200 near Highway 601. Wednesday morning around 5:15 a.m., Concord Fire confirmed rescue crews deployed a raft and removed a stranded motorist from their vehicle.
That person was safely removed, then taken to receive medical care.
The department said it was later dispatched again to assist the county with a water rescue on Highway 200, and crews safely rescued two people from the water.
