SAVANNAH -- A tornado touched down in Savannah, Georgia, early Friday morning.
The Chatham Emergency Management Agency, or CEMA, confirms to NBC Charlotte's sister station, 11Alive, damage to a neighborhood was caused by a tornado that hit around 5:45 a.m.
Officials will not know the level of the tornado until damage assessments are done. CEMA also said they have not heard reports of people witnessing a funnel from the tornado.
Tropical Storm Hermine brought some power outages and caused a few trees to fall but there are no reports of injuries.
