CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person was seriously hurt in a shooting in the University City area of Charlotte Friday morning, Medic said.
Emergency crews responded to a reported shooting along North Tryon Street, near the intersection with East W.T. Harris Boulevard. The shooting occurred around 7 a.m.
Medic confirmed one person was rushed to a nearby Charlotte hospital with life-threatening injuries.
WCNC Charlotte has asked Charlotte-Mecklenburg police if they have made any arrests in connection with this case. As of now, CMPD hasn't released any information about a possible suspect or arrest.
CMPD also responded to reported incidents along Interstate 77 in north Charlotte and at an apartment complex in east Charlotte, where one person was stabbed to death. Medic also confirmed one person suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting along Liddell Street just outside Uptown.
