Woman shot at during Charlotte rush hour

No one was hurt during the Wednesday afternoon shooting off East W.T. Harris Blvd.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man shot into a woman's car in the middle of Wednesday's afternoon rush hour traffic, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said.

It happened just before 6 p.m. off East W.T. Harris Boulevard in front of CPCC's Cato Campus.

The woman was not hurt

According to dispatch audio, several drivers called 911 to report shots fired.

"The male who was firing the shots was in the back seat of a dark four-door sedan," a dispatcher told officers.

A police report didn't say what led to the shots being fired, and NBC Charlotte's efforts to contact the victim were unsuccessful.
