CATAWBA, N.C. — A North Carolina singer performed on the "The Voice" and received resounding applause from the show's judges.
Christina Eagle performed on Monday's Top 8 showdown. She was eliminated from the competition after failing to advance from the fan vote. She sang "Heart Like a Truck" in an attempt at a "save" but was not chosen to move on.
Eagle sang "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" by Shania Twain on Monday's show. She is affiliated with Team Snoop -- as in Snoop Dogg. He commended her stage presence and vocal control.
Eagle previously said her experience on "The Voice" has been nothing short of a dream come true.
"Not only just being on that stage, but also the friends I have made there along the way," she told WCNC Charlotte in November. "That's been one of my favorite parts because I have prayed to have friends like I have and we have these little worship sessions on Sunday mornings by the pool. It was so heartwarming and I'm just so grateful for it."
She previously told WCNC Charlotte she would be holding onto the advice given by her coach when he first turned his chair.
"He said, 'I'm not looking for perfection. I'm looking for what you are,'" Eagle shared. "I've always held onto that because that means more to me than he will ever know. Nobody's perfect, and I know I'm not perfect, but I get to do this thing and I want to do it and I know I'm good at it. And the fact that he felt that inside of me, I've got to stay with him until the end."
