First lady Jill Biden to make stop in Charlotte Tuesday

Political campaigns are ramping up efforts in swing states, including North Carolina, ahead of the November election.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — First lady Jill Biden will be making another stop in Charlotte on Tuesday. She will be in the city to deliver remarks at a political finance event.

This visit comes just a few months after she visited the Queen City to highlight the Biden Administration's work to help cancer patients at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Center

During that visit, Biden discussed the president's efforts to expand access to patient navigation services for people facing cancer and address the financial burden of cancer care.

Over the last several months, Presidential campaigns have ramped up efforts in North Carolina, which is considered to be one of several swing states.

Just last week, Vice President Kamala Harris visited Johnson C. Smith University to discuss the administration's economic policies, along with what the administration is doing to ease the burden of medical debt.

The June 12 visit marked her fifth visit to the state in 2024 and her 13th visit since being sworn in as vice president. In April, the VP came to North Carolina two weeks in a row.

It is unclear at this time if her visit will cause traffic issues around Charlotte.
