Accident shuts down I-485 inner near South Blvd.

Charlotte Fire tweeted about the wreck just before 10:30 p.m. Friday and said there was someone pinned inside a vehicle.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An accident shut down the I-485 inner loop near South Blvd. on Friday night.

The accident happened just after 10 p.m; Medic was called to the scene.

Charlotte Fire tweeted about the wreck just before 10:30 p.m. and said there was someone pinned inside a vehicle.

Highway Patrol was leading the investigation and said the road was expected to be shut down for hours.

Troopers also confirmed it was a rollover crash with someone pinned inside.

Medic later said one person was taken to CMC Main, and two other people were taken to CMC Pineville.

There was no immediate word on what caused the crash.
