CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Interstate 277 in Uptown Charlotte is subject to closure in both directions near Bank of America stadium because of a police investigation.
The incident occurred on I-277 between Uptown Charlotte and South End. The closure had traffic stopped or delayed in both directions of the interstate loop.
The nearby traffic camera showed the stopped traffic trying to enter the city.
Shortly before Noon, the roadway reopened.
More traffic delays are expected later Thursday when Vice President Kamala Harris visits Charlotte for campaign events.
