MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — Two people were injured in a multiple vehicle crash involving an overturned car on Interstate 77 near Lake Norman Friday, according to Medic.
First responders were called to the crash involving a rolled over car in the southbound lanes of I-77 near Exit 30 in Davidson around 11:30 a.m.
Medic transported two patients with minor injuries to Lake Norman Regional Hospital for treatment.
It was not immediately clear what caused the the crash.
Traffic is backed up as a result of multiple lane closures southbound. Northbound is also slow because of on-looker delays.
Drivers should avoid the area if possible. You can use Highway 115 as an alternate route.
