CLT airport opens first automated exit lanes

The new lanes will help people leave the airport more efficiently.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Wednesday, the Charlotte Douglas International Airport officially opened its first bank of automated exit lanes, intended to help people exit the airport after landing more expediently.

The first round of automated exit lanes are next to the Chick-fil-A in the airport's atrium.

These lanes will help expedite a one-way exit from the secure areas to the Ticketing and Baggage Claim areas.
