CHARLOTTE, N.C. â
This Afternoon & Evening
Watch for slick areas on the roadways if you're in the mountains or foothills today as some did see minor ice accumulation. Otherwise, the wintry mix has transitioned to a cold rain for the entire Charlotte region.
We'll continue to feel chilly and damp with highs only reaching the mid-upper 40s. Cloudy sky conditions remain overnight so lows won't drop much either.
The Week Ahead
It'll be a chilly and mostly cloudy start to the work week. Sunshine will eventually peek through the clouds allowing for highs in the upper 50s and low 60s.
A few spotty showers are possible Tuesday night with our next storm system which will bring scattered rain on Wednesday. Most areas clear out by the end of the work week with colder air filtering in again.
Christmas Trends
The forecast is trending toward cooler than average, but clear, conditions for Christmas Eve. However, isolated showers and more clouds may develop Christmas Day with lows in the low-mid 30s and highs in the mid 50s.
