CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man was shot and killed in west Charlotte shortly after midnight Thursday, police said.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department responded to the shooting at a gas station along Wilkinson Boulevard near Midland Avenue where they found a person who had been shot.
The victim, identified as 24-year-old Jaziyah Jospeph Haigbea-Boone, died at the scene, according to police.
This is the third deadly shooting in Charlotte in less than 12 hours following a shooting that happened on Country House Street Wednesday evening and a shooting near a barbershop on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers have not made any arrests at this time. WCNC Charlotte has reached out to CMPD for more information.
