CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man was stabbed to death in the Dilworth-South End area early Saturday, police say.
CMPD responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call for service in the 200 block of East Boulevard around 1:42 a.m. Saturday.
When police arrived to the scene they found 32-year-old Andrew Allen with multiple stab wounds in the parking lot of the Shell gas station. Medic transported the victim to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Responding officers detained 55-year-old Richard Grier nearby and after investigation, Grier was charged with his murder.
Grier is due in court Monday.
